INSPIRE Final Conference – Session 3: Mental Health and Public Policy
The final international conference “Well-being and Mental Health in the Context of Art and Culture” was the apex of the whole INSPIRE project, with all the three INSPIRE partners working closely together to secure the venue, select the speakers, and make all other necessary arrangements. Taking place at the traditional venue of the Mezi ploty festival in Bohnice, it featured prominent speakers from Czechia, Poland, Spain and Croatia.
The third session dealt with mental health issues in a more society-wide context, touching upon the stories of women undergoing compulsory mental health treatment, the role of civic organizations representing people with mental health challenges and the importance of media focusing specifically on mental health issues and disability in general. Among the speakers were art therapist Jitka Tůmová of the Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital, Norbert Bolek of the eFkropka Foundation and Mateusz Rózanski from the magazine “Integracja” and the portal Niepelnosprawni.pl.
